The snow & ice storm of Valentine's Day 2007 redux

The Borough of Churchill did not plow and/or salt my street (a short dead end, mind you) until 4 pm! I did attempt to venture out to work at noon only to turn around two miles in when I was on one of the main roads and it was still not very passable. I ended up having to park in the driveway of my neighbors two doors away. They valiantly tried to help me get up the little incline to my driveway but my car just couldn't get a grip on the icy street. I ended up taking half a day of PTO. So, when the borough plow did finally come by, I walked down and got in my car and took it over to get the ice thawed off and get a new exhaust system. I started to hear the engine louder on Monday and I didn't want to drive four hours to Bradford this weekend with all that noise. By the time I got home, the Klingon was home and doing some shoveling. I fixed a quick dinner for both of us and tidied up the kitchen. I slept well last night and had to get up early for work as they don't like it when I reboot the servers during the work day for some reason. :-P My commute in this morning took about 15 minutes longer. I'm planning on staying later tonight to compensate and reboot servers.
