New A/V equipment

adelheid_pWe got our tv, receiver, speakers and entertainment center today. I didn't expect it to take so long to set up. Right now the sound works. (I'm glad I wasn't close to the tv when the sound was tested as the volume was up rather high!) Our receiver is a Denon (I think it should be renamed Demon based on the rather cryptic setup menu and the fact that it wouldn't let us position a speaker differently). The tv is a 36 inch Toshiba and the speakers are Sony. We're using our old vcr and dvd player. The remote for this appears to have more buttons than ever. It's taking a while to set it up and make sure every thing is working. The picture is very good and the sound is good too. The holidays are approaching fast and I may not be able to post as often. I'm hosting my husband's family for their Christmas celebration and much cleaning and de-cluttering must be done.
