Thanksgiving Progress
Nov. 20th, 2006 07:24 pmShopping for Thanksgiving is done and the pumpkin pies are out of the oven. I had enough custard for a couple of cups so we'll get to taste test it today after it cools. Our menu is roast chicken (a turkey is too much for three people and my daughter doesn't like it anyway), stuffing (made on the stove), sweet potatoes, green beans sauteed w/walnuts, gravy, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie w/cool whip for dessert.
In addition, I ran a bunch of errands including getting replacement parts for the inside of our first floor toilet which had decided to not stop filling this morning (until I turned the water flow off at the valve outside of the tank). I think it had been doing this on a very small scale for a while until the entire valve gave way today. So, I think we'll see an improvement in our water bill.
