Cheese!

Today is a party for a friend who is turning 40. I helped shop for it --at least the cheese portion. Let's just say, that we probably got close to $100 in cheese. We got two different varieties of swiss, Huntsman (English cheddar and blue cheese layered cake style), Red Dragon (cheddar with mustard seeds), Crandale (Wensleydale with cranberries), a blueberry Stilton, colby, Adirondack white cheddar, brie, fresh mozzarella, herb and plain havarti ,and probably a few I'm missing. A friend is making a couple of home made macaroni and cheese casseroles with some of the cheese we bought yesterday. And that's not all that will be at the party. Unfortunately there will not be wine but I can live with that. Anyway, I hope she enjoys her party. I know that I plan to.

It was all very tasty. The ones I forgot were the Bergamer Swiss, Gruyeres, aged smoked provolone, Gloucester with onion and chive, mild cheddar, lemon baked ricotta, and string cheese. There were seventeen different cheeses in all.
