There are some really neat services on the Internet

I just discovered http://www.pandora.com aka the Music Genome project. It's kind of like Tivo for music. You start by entering a band you really like and Pandora analyzes the elements of their music (providing it's in their catalog, I guess) and then finds other performers/music that is similar and plays a piece for you and you can rate the piece as a thumbs up (yes I like, more like this please) or a thumbs down (no, I don't want to hear this again). After about 5 songs, you need to create a free account to continue listening. This is the only downside I see to this. Pretty neat, though.

Actually, I never get asked if I'm from Chicago or Wisconsin. And there are a whole host of questions that weren't asked, my answers to which would have really confounded the scoring. My mother was from Texas and so I say y'all occasionally.

Real post for today

Had some people over for a meeting. Served chili that I had made on Monday. And the experimental "White turkey chili" that I made yesterday. No one ate the turkey chili besides me. I made lots of corn bread and have a lot left over. The regular chili which was without beans was eaten but there is still some left over. I think that will be dinner tomorrow. I'm heading out to Las Vegas for a conference on Sunday and will be back on the following Saturday. I'll probably post a lot since I get bored after the conference sessions close at 5 pm or so. I don't gamble but I might go see the new Cirque du Soleil show done to the Beatles music.
