Round about eight or ninth grade we read this story that disturbed me thoroughly and ultimately led me to read horror and then speculative fiction. My gateway story to SF & F, if you will. It was "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allan Poe. And by way of an acquaintenance in the 'Just a bit of Arsenic' group on The Steampunk Empire, I was introduced to this video of an Alan Parson's Project song of the same story. The story is most likely not suitable for young children but the video is safe for work, if one is on a break or at lunch. ;-)
