adelheid_pAfter the movie, my husband and I went to the East End Food Coop for a few things. I was looking for rice paper to make spring rolls but they didn't have any so I thought I'd also go to Lotus Foods, a specialty food store that carries Asian foods. While we were on the way there, we swung by the new Target in East Liberty. Before that, the following exchange happened:
Me:"I'm kind of curious to go by the new Target they built in East Liberty."
Him:"It's probably like any other Target that you've been in."
Me:"That's what I thought at first, but rumor has it that they have escalators for the carts or something."
Him: "Escalators for carts? Now I'm intrigued."
I swung by Target and the parking is all under the store so one enters on the parking level and you can get a cart there and put it on the escalator to take up to the main store level or you can get a cart at the main store level. And these carts aren't you the regular Target shopping carts with the plastic basket and metal handle and under basket wheel and rack. They were almost entirely plastic or composite construction with a special pickup in the front for the escalators. Unfortunately, neither of us thought to get pictures.
