Tomorrow, I have taken a day off of work. Tonight after 6pm, my long weekend began. I rushed home to grab something to eat before seeing a play reading at the Pittsburgh Playwrights theater on Penn Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh. This is a small incubator style theater and the play being read tonight was written by Scott Sickles. Scott is an old friend of mine and the play was good. Scott just keeps getting better and better. There are more play readings (from different writers) in the coming weeks and I'm glad to have reconnected with the local play community. Tomorrow, I'm off to Millennicon where Wen Spencer (another locally born writer) is Guest of Honor and I'll get to see some friends that I haven't seen in about three years. And some I've seen more recently than that. I'm looking forward to the break from work.
