After a morning of yard work (I trimmed bushes and the Klingon cut the grass), The Klingon and I headed up for a bike ride on the Butler Freeport Bike Trail. I estimate that I rode a total of 12 miles round trip. I didn't make it as far as Sarver, which is a little past the 7 mile marker, because my legs were tired from the morning. Sarver is significant to me because we were living there when my brother was born. On the way home, we stopped at Brrkees for ice cream. Brrkees is a little ice cream stand in Oakmont, PA (yes, home of the Oakmont Country Club where this year's U.S. Open Golf Tournament was held). I got a single scoop of the sugar free cherry vanilla, which had lots of cherries in it, and the Klingon got his usual chocolate shake. When we arrived there it started to sprinkle a bit so we timed our ride just right.

Smaller world than I realize . . . . .

Well, my brother was born in 1966. I'll have to check with my dad as I was a bit young at the time and it wasn't too long after that we moved to Chicago, IL.
