Christmas Day

Started with a sinus headache. I think I'm getting the Klingon's cold. I cleaned up the kitchen last night so I could possibly make breakfast for my brother and his girlfriend but they were running late so didn't stop by. I did get to see them yesterday at my dad's place. What can I say, it was a standard visit with my family and exchange of gifts. It was good to see my dad and my brother brought his laptop with pictures of the house he and his girlfriend had bought. Good news from my brother is that he has been hired full time by the company for which he was consulting. We got home around 8 pm last night and opened our gifts to each other. My little surprise for the Klingon didn't work. I had bought a "tribble" at the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas and put it in a box with another gift (a Cephalopod t-shirt). The Klingon is a box shaker so I was hoping that the tribble would go off, vibrating and screeching, when he shook the box but it's been a little too cold for it to be as sensitive as it was when I bought it. Still he had alot of fun with it and liked the shirt. This morning my daughter got coal in her stocking, among other things. She laughed and put it in the Klingon's stocking since he hadn't yet gotten to his. I had also gotten a wind up turtle and fish for her stocking and she started to do lines from Finding Nemo, "Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming.", and "Woe dude!". My daughter had not expected to work on Saturday so she wasn't able to get our presents. I guess we'll be getting them sometime next week. She did get me a cool flashlight that has an ear clip and a 72% Ghirardelli dark chocolate bar for my stocking. My other presents were mostly bicycle related. I got a neat little Topeak multitool and a Blackburn mini-airpump.
