Treadmill

On Monday, my in-laws dropped off a treadmill that was "cluttering" up their basement and I agreed to take it. Well, it is a small basement. So today we set it up in our basement and discovered that it's at a peak incline with no easily ascertainable way to adjust it. And, when I looked online for the manual, I would have to buy it for $3.60 plus shipping. Umm, no thanks. I walked 21 minutes at the minimum speed of about 2.5 mph with the treadmill at this full inclination. I think it was the right rate of speed for me now at this inclination. I did break a sweat and my heart rate was up there but I wasn't panting so it's probably ok, but I'll have to see how my knees like it. There's a sticker on it that said something about applying a silicone spray lubricant to the deck beneath the belt after 10 hours of use. It sounds like it probably needs this and it has probably never been treated since purchase.

Tomorrow I have errands to run and pack for Las Vegas! Sunday morning I fly out. I have a couple of Terry Pratchett Disc World books to keep me occupied. I'm going to see the Liberace Museum (http://www.liberace.com/museum.cfm) if it's open. Also, my boss and I have tickets to see the Cirque Du Soleil The Beatles Love show (http://www.mirage.com/entertainment/entertainment_cirque_du_soleil.aspx) at The Mirage on Monday at 10:30 pm. I promised to nudge her awake if she falls asleep because she's an early to bed, early to rise person. (I think one of her dogs gets her up early.) I'm not really a gambling person and, if I had the money, I'd probably see more shows but I don't so I'm going to do some less expensive things. This museum sounds cool, too: http://www.atomictestingmuseum.org/ Here's another one that sounds neat:
http://www.goldwellmuseum.org/. Last time I was in the area we went to the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead attractions. Here's where I found the information:

When you go to Las Vegas make sure you see the Bellagio Fountains. Oh, and pack a jacket since it gets cold at night.

I saw the fountains the last time I was in Las Vegas. I'll be in conference space which also can get chilly. Thanks for the tips!
