sff_corgi in a comment on someone else's lj entry for getting me interested in Bentos!

In this, my first bento, clockwise from the left: Apple, grapes, black bean salad in the little container because it had dresssing, pickled radish, red radishes and cucumber, green and red pepper holding in leftover Waldorf Tuna Salad. It turns out that this container was a lot of food for me for lunch and I didn't end up eating the apple or black bean salad that day. I apologize for the quality of the picture. I may have had the flash off.
I've hunted all over for bento supplies. From the various dollar stores I was able to get some little containers for food, decorative food picks and forks, bottles for sauces (which were actually travel bottles for shampoo, etc.) and a sectioned container. From Linens N Things I found a really nice assortment of bottles and small containers, also intended for shampoo, lotion, etc. and also a Fit N Fresh lunch box which I haven't purchased. At JoAnn Crafts there are silicone muffin cups in various colors both round and square which could be used as reusable food cups and cookie/fondant cutters of various shapes and sizes which could be used on sandwiches or to shape rice, etc. The Asian stores have the foods, of course, but no bento type supplies. I'm really hesitant to mail order bento supplies when I'm not sure how long thisobsession interest will last.
