Putting things in order
Aug. 19th, 2007 09:50 pmWell, I realized that in order for me to feel less stressed, I need to get my house in order since other things are beyond my control. This weekend has been spent sorting through a pile of stuff on the dining room table and general cleaning. Both bathrooms, the kitchen and the dining room have been cleaned and mopped. The living room, my office and "the library" have been swept, mopped, and/or vacuumed. The throw rugs have been washed. I've washed our bed sheets and straightened up the bedroom a bit including sweeping and swiffering. And I swept the second floor hall and stairs. Tomorrow, the play group is meeting here to go over what worked and didn't work this year. I had leftover sandwich rolls from the Parsec picnic yesterday, so I went out and bought some lunch meat and cheese for sandwiches for those who show up for the meeting. I've also made some lightly sweetened iced tea. And finally, we had a pretty deep hole in the yard that I filled in last weekend with top soil and seeded with grass seed that we had laying around. I wasn't sure if the seed would sprout but today, I see some green where I seeded!
