Update on the state of me

In about a week and a half I'll be leaving my current job and starting at another place. This is A GOOD THING (tm). (I could use a very good massage because of all the tension in my shoulders right now.) But I'll be six months without vacation time except for the one very important Friday of Confluence where I can be found, most of the time, in the Art Show or seen helping out with the Musical Travesty(tm). As you can imagine, six months without being able to take a day here or there is going to be difficult. Especially since I want to go to Millenicon in March which is a good 6 hour drive away. If I do go, I'll just miss the fun on Friday --except parties, of course. Mostly, I tend to take long weekends for cons and not full one/two week vacations. In 2009, though, the Klingon and I might be going on a week vacation to Yellowstone.

Next weekend I'll be going up to visit amg04 at the University of Pittsburgh campus in lovely Bradford, PA. I will once again be staying at the Mountain Laurel Inn bed and breakfast. At this point, sunny skies are in the forecast for the weekend.

In other news, I have a new toy which I'm liking. It's a Dell XPS 1530 laptop.
