For the most part, I try to spend at least one weekend a month away from these to the extent that my job permits me. During that time, while I usually have my mobile phones, I don't use them unless absolutely necessary. Being an IT person, you'd have to be able to pay my salary until I got another job for me to spend a "whole" week away from all three (assuming that there was a major emergency and they couldn't get a hold of me via my home landline thus costing me my job). You didn't say that I couldn't listen to the radio so I'd still be able to keep in touch with what is going on in the world via radio news. For entertainment, I'm perfectly happy reading an old fashioned book, crocheting, or going for a walk in the woods, etc. I have to say that the Internet and my mobile phones have made certain things easier to do though. That is to say, I would miss them, but I wouldn't be in "withdrawal".

I´m with you, I´m puzzled by the fact that this question seems to indicate that staying away from the internet, tv and mobiles is an almost impossible thing.
It really shouldn´t be.

I'm wondering if it would be more difficult for younger generations, though.
